How Can I Work At Home With My Kids? - This Week's Top Stories About Leadership #4

An idyllic picture of parents working at home with their child, look familiar to you? Nope, me neither. Working from home when my daughters were young looked and felt nothing like this. The challenges I faced then pale into insignificance when compared to thousands of working parents who are now trying to juggle their work, childcare and possibly their children's schooling, all with a backdrop of the COVID 19 crisis and potential health and financial concerns for family and friends.

So to help keep some sanity I've picked out a number of topical home working with kids themed articles I've read in the previous 7 days that I feel would interest you. Why go looking for reliable resources when I can save you time and publish them here.

I'll start this week with two articles from the Society for Human Resource Management...

Juggling Child Care with Telework? Here Are Some Tips. Click on the image below to read more ....

Working from Home with Kids? How to Manage the Impossible. Click on the image below to read more ....

And finally an article from CTV here in Canada ...

Help! I've got kids, what do I do? Tips for parents working from home. Click on the image below to read more ....

Well that's it for this week. I hope you enjoyed these articles and resources and I'll be back next week with more, until then ... be a leader not just a boss, even if your kids are home!

"Bluegem Learning & Development and Corporate Culture Shift have presented two very effective and interactive workshops with our organization. Their comedic and engaging presentation style in the ‘Managing the Unmanageable’ workshop has left a lasting impression on our staff. I highly recommend this workshop if you are looking for a valuable, cost effective customer service training option."

"Russell produced a highly engaging HR programme that reflected our organisational issues. He is without doubt an outstanding training deliverer, challenging managers to address what can be difficult HR issues. I highly recommend Russell, and would always seek to engage Russell on future learning development opportunities."
